The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is working to identify the source of the contaminated ground beef. Ground beef is the only common food people reported eating.
You can protect yourself and others by practicing proper food safety, including storing food appropriately, avoiding cross-contamination by washing cutting boards and utensils after they come in contact with raw meat, washing your hands regularly and cooking food to a safe temperature
Salmonella infections can be serious, so if you feel sick after eating ground beef, seek medical attention immediately.
