Overview
We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Health Inspector to conduction health inspections.
This full-time position will be responsible for performing work in the area of environmental health; including, food establishment inspections, cosmetology inspections, and temporary food event inspections. This position reports directly to the Chief Sanitarian.
What You Should Bring
We are looking for an individual who has a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, public health, or a related field, with 2 years relevant experience. A current DPH certification in food service inspection, with the online FDA food code training substantially completed, and phase 1 & 2 subsurface sewage certification preferred. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, with the ability to effectively enforce health codes with a compassionate, educational approach.
