EDUCATIONAL CAMPAIGN
This educational campaign is supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as part of a financial assistance award totaling $66,633 with 100% funded by CDC/HHS. The contents are those of the author and do not necessarily represent the official views of, not an endorsement, by CDC/HHS or the US Government.
Through the Rapid Community Assessment completed in April 2024, we learned that barriers to staying up-to-date with COVID-19 and flu vaccines included a lack of awareness of who should receive the vaccines and when, and some hesitancy regarding personal health and the benefit of getting vaccinated in the fall. The EHHD is taking time this fall and winter to remind the community that both vaccines are recommended for most people ages 6 months and older, and if you have questions about the benefits for you or your child, please talk to your health care provider.
The campaign will include advertising on multiple platforms across our member towns including TV and streaming TV, radio and gas station radio, WRTD busses, newspapers and social media. Across all these platforms, the message will be consistent: this fall and winter, protect yourself (and your children, ages 6 months and older) from COVID-19 and influenza with vaccines. If you have questions, your best source of great information regarding your personal health and the benefits of seasonal vaccines is your personal healthcare provider.
As we present the campaign components in the community, they will be posted below to share or view/hear again!
We hope you will join us: Get onboard. Stay on track. Get Vaxed!
