Public Health Statistics/Disease Surveillance

Database Development
EHHD is currently developing a public health statistics program to assess community health status including vital statistics, census data and other relevant information. This database will provide information on births, deaths, and cancer incidence that can be used in prevention and education program planning and development.
Childhood Lead Poisoning Program
All reports of elevated lead levels in children up to age 6 are reviewed. EHHD provides technical assistance to families and business owners to help eliminate the source of the lead exposure. Click here for information on childhood lead poisoning prevention.
Communicable Diseases
EHHD conducts communicable disease surveillance to prevent outbreaks. Examples of communicable diseases include, but are not limited to, West Nile Virus, Rabies, and food borne illness.
