Eating the recommended amounts of fruits and veggies is easy since all forms of fruits and vegetables MATTER:  FRESH, FROZEN, DRIED, and CANNED!

How much do you need? Well for fruits and vegetables "more matters"!  Recent teaching was to eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables every day. But it is often hard to know how much counts as a 'serving'.  So while more does matter, and 5-a-day is catchy to remember, most school-age children need:

4 to 5 cups total of a variety of fruits and vegetables every day

One way to get enough is to fill HALF your plate each meal with fruits and vegetables; and choose fruits and vegetables every day as snacks.  Filling half your plate with fruits and vegetables makes one Great Plate!
